Winter Videos

Music to me is life. It inspires me, takes me back in time and allows me to dream. It also cements the present and of course, a source of fun. It's cold, grey and raining outside, the perfect condition to snuggle up on the sofa with a cup of tea and listen to some of my favourite songs of the moment. I've shared some songs I really liked in the past Here and Here, well here are some of the songs I cannot go a day without listening to at the moment.

Starting off with Ed Shereen's Perfect, a song he wrote for his girlfriend. The song is perfect, the video has me trying to get together a group for a ski trip or maybe just a getaway for two in the middle of nowhere. This is one adorable video!

Here is Ed again, featured on Fuse ODG's banger, and singing in Twi. Ed and Fuse spent three weeks in Ghana making music and it looks like they had one hell of a time. For some reason, the video reminds me of my time in Victoria Falls and makes me want to visit Ghana. I think I'm in love with Ed

Luis Fonsi released the biggest song of the year (possibly the decade) early this year. I heard Despacito in every country I visited, sung passionately by old and young. Homeboy is back to close the year with another hit track, this time with Demi Lovato.

Melanin by Sauti Sol and Patoranking is such an aesthetically pleasing video. Winter has my skin flaky and this video is my reminder to head to the spa for a body scrub. I need my skin popping like the women in the video.

Bella y Sensual - Just three guys on a night out. Typical Reggaeton song/video but I love it.

Hola by Florida and Maluma. This is my feel-good-had-one-too-many-mojitos song.  Hola, hola-la, quiero conocerte ya.

The above video was a brief introduction to Maluma, the object of my fantasy and currently my favourite latin-trap/reggaetrap artiste. He's just gotten bigger and bigger the last four years and is now one of Colombia's biggest music stars. I love Maluma, I dream of Maluma and Maluma gave me my best song of the year, Felices Los 4. The song is pretty much about preserving a long distance relationship while having an affair, super cheeky. Maluma is hot!

The song was such a hit, the big zaddy Marc Anthony hopped on the salsa remix. The video continues from where the original left off with the other couple getting it on. Marc is hot! Maluma is hot! Ay mi dios, ambos hombres son fuego!

Why shoot a video for one song when you can do a short film for three? This is a very interesting concept video by Maluma for Vitamina, GPS and 23 shot in Medellin. It gets A+ for visuals and storytelling, and A* for Maluma baby.

What are your favourites songs/videos at the moment?
