Arcade and Alchemist

Arcade and Alchemist

I had the craziest Saturday about a week ago.... week ago (no thank you Schmurda). After hours in Ikea and stuffing myself up in JRC Buffet, I woke up to a call from my sister asking me to be at Namco at noon to welcome the kids coming for Ebube's birthday. As soon as my brother heard my voice he damn near went on his knees begging me to make jollof rice before going out. He was going to do the prep and the chicken, all I had to do was cook. Oh well, I was craving rice so he really didn't need to beg me.

I also had to wash and style my hair, and pick out an appropriate outfit to go from kiddies party to clubbing. My Sister in law and two of our friends were having a joint birthday do at Opal Bar in Embankment. Wasn't an easy task in this freezing cold so I just went with the most comfy thing I could think of. Managed to hop into a taxi 2:30 and got there sometime past 3 pm.

When It comes to playing, I am such a child. The last time I was at Namco, I was a teenager. Even though the games had changed, they still had the bumper rides which I loveeeeeeeee. I mean, I wasn't exactly being altruistic when I suggested the venue to my sister. I had fun, so much fun, I just need a kid-like adult like me to go back soon.

My girl drove like Pastor Maldonado in F1, bashing everything and anything. I had a headache and let her ride alone the next time. Go Deze!!!

Look at her, so serious

Left Namco around 7pm with my friend B, we went to The Alchemist for drinks and a quick bite. This is a really pretty bar with amazing cocktails (if only a little sweet). We didn't make a reservation so had to wait around at the bar for around 15 minutes to get a dining table. That was enough time to get the Madhatter Tea Party cocktail for 2.

We shared the beer battered prawn lollipops and special fried chicken in basket. I had my meal with Caramelised Rum Punch.

Then topped up with Dead Red Zombie (smokey).

I was ready to try out more cocktails but the crew were ringing my phone non-stop asking me to get myself down to Opal. Yeah, they really can't do anything without me. B wasn't up for clubbing so I left around 10 pm while she went home.

Had a blast at the club, it is always fun partying with the whole family (excluding my parents, of course). Got home 4 am and I held it long enough to take off my shoes before I passed out.

What a day!
