100 Books of 2014
Last year I set a target to read 100 books. There were periods I read a book a day, and others when I did a page for 3 weeks or longer. In all, I hit my target reading 100 books from 70 different authors.
I read good books, I read terrible books, I read books that challenged me, ones that made me laugh and ones that made me more aware of myself.
I read sitting, I read standing, I read freezing on the beach, I read in the toilet, I read in bars.
I read about love, wars, betrayal, rape, culture, diseases, lifestyle, families and everything in between.
There were nostalgic moments reading The Pacesetters series, some of the books I had read growing up.
I had a theme for the year and it was "By Africans or About Africans". I did read the odd book outside the theme.
Being anti e-books, only 2 of the 100 books were electronic. I am a lover of paper and flipping pages.
