A Place I'll Like To Call Home

A Place I'll Like To Call Home

Our Scandi trip was built around Stockholm. A chance encounter in Greece piqued my interest in the city and so when we planned the trip we decided to save the best for last. It was the best decision ever!

Visit Stockholm! And when you do:

Stay at Mikael's super cosy flat in SoFo. It is in the same building as Nytorget 6, you can't beat that! (click here for the airbnb listing)

Relax at The Blue Hotel Spa - Well worth every penny!

Grab dinner at Nosh & Chow

Also, check out Urban Deli and Nytorget 6 for good food and drinks in SoFo.

Enjoy panoramic views of Lake Malaren, City Hall and Riddarholmen from Monteliusvågen.

Dance and singalong to classics at the Abba Museum.

Fotografiska for amazing exhibitions (and if you are into photography). They also have a really good restaurant at the top floor.

Spend a few hours at the highly recommended (by locals) Vasa Museum which displays the almost intact ship that sank on her maiden voyage in 1628.

Finally, wander! wander!! wander!!! Get lost in the little cobbled streets of Gamla Stan.

The Yacht Week had their 10th anniversary weekend and it was really good seeing familiar faces. I met Erik and William, the founders of TYW and I am really looking forward to another week in Greece next year.

Barely a day into my stay someone asked me what I thought about Stockholm and my response was, "It feels like home, I feel like I'm home. I don't feel like I need to go out to see as many parts of the city as possible, I just feel comfortable here like I'm home. Only that it is a lot prettier than London".

This is a place I'll like to call home one day.
