Rex and Mariano, Soho

Rex and Mariano, Soho

I feel like I haven't gone out in ages. With summer around the corner and food places popping up every second in London, it is time to get off my lazy bum and go out more often.

Rex and Mariano is a seafood restaurant brought to us by the same people behind Goodman, Beast and Burger and Lobster, so you know it will be good and popular.

Last night after work my brother and I made our way to St Anne's Court, a side street in Soho where the restaurant is located. It has a casual, yet upscale atmosphere, with all orders done entirely on an iPad.

The menu is quite simple so we knew straight away what we would have. We placed our orders as we ate, it took 3 minutes on average from clicking on the order on the iPad to getting the food brought to the table. Super fast service!

Started with some bread and homemade tuna dip and a glass of Palermo.

Of course I had to have my oysters!

Tuna Tartar

Seabass Ceviche

Cooked Prawns

Clams

And my favourite of all, the lemon sorbet with limoncello. I'm not a sweet person and I hardly every have desserts but I am glad I did. This was divine and the perfect end to a good meal.

I will totally visit again soon to try out the rest of the menu.
